Laser Facial

A laser facial is a customized treatment to target your face’s particular needs.  Using our KTP and Nd-Yag lasers, pigmentation spots, cherry angiomas (red dots), and broken blood vessels (telangiectasias) are treated individually.  After the spot treatments, additional passes with the laser can be performed to reduce generalized redness (such as with rosacea) or to stimulate collagen growth for wrinkle reduction.  For pigmentation treatments and cherry angiomas, the spots will initially appear darker or gray.  Over the next few days, the pigment is brought to the skin surface, then flakes away.  Smaller pigmentation spots and cherry angiomas are usually successfully treated in one session, although two sessions are sometimes needed.  During vascular treatments, the blood vessels will usually disappear or shrink immediately.  You will experience some mild redness to the area lasting a few hours.  Most broken blood vessels will need 1-3 sessions for lasting removal.

A laser facial is one of the most effective treatment options to reduce the generalized redness of rosacea.  The redness will gradually reduce after each treatment, and is ideally performed in a series of 3-6 sessions every 2-4 weeks.  For wrinkle reduction, a deeper wavelength is used on the face which stimulates the production of collagen within the skin.  Each treatment leads to gradual improvement over the next few weeks.

Restrictions:  Moles, or lesions with any thickness CANNOT be treated.  In addition, a laser facial can only be performed safely on lighter skin types (types I-IV).

Cost:  A laser facial costs $250.
