Laser Vascular Lesion Removal

Blue Haven Medical Spa can significantly reduce unwanted spider veins and other vascular lesions, such as cherry angiomas (red dots) and facial telangiectasias using our KTP and Nd-Yag lasers. The treatment is most effective on small veins less than 1.5 mm in width and is not intended for larger veins, like varicose veins. The laser’s energy causes the walls of the spider veins to close and stick together, immediately making the vein invisible. With time, the veins are absorbed by the body and are permanently removed. For leg vein treatments, it is recommended to wear compression stockings for 2 days continuously after your treatment, then up to 14 days during the day while you’re on your feet to reduce the chances of the veins opening. You may bring your own compression stockings, or purchase our prescription-strength compression stockings from Sigvaris for $75. Activities that increase circulation to the legs, such as heavy exercise, hot tubs, saunas, and sunlight exposure should be avoided for a few days.

For cherry angiomas, dozens can be removed in a 30-minute session. Some veins reopen with time and may require additional sessions. For facial veins (telangiectasias), we recommend waiting 1 month before a repeat session. For leg veins, we recommend waiting 2-3 months between sessions for full healing.

Blue Haven Medical Spa charges $400 per 30-minute session for this treatment or $200 for brief sessions under 15 minutes.
